Case Study: Nido Student
The Client:
Established in 2007 the Nido Collection is an international property management company spanning across four countries. Nido Student is the company’s most recent venture providing purpose-built student accommodation to thousands of UK & International students. Nido Student has 11 properties across 7 locations in the UK and aims to be the leading student accommodation provider in the UK & Europe.
Target Market/Industry:
Users of Nido student properties.
The Brief:
Nido wanted residents of their properties to think more about the environment and to cut down on the amount of single-use plastic being used in their halls of residence. As part of an overall marketing campaign running in their properties, they wanted a re-useable item that could be given away to students to support the campaign.
The Challenge:
Students in the halls of residents have historically used a huge amount of single-use plastic bottles. Nido wanted to make a positive change in their properties and encourage the students to do the same. So, we needed to find a nice bottle that students would use and encourage them to not continually buy plastic bottles thus significantly reducing their use.
The Solution:
As part of our brand promise to deliver products with maximum brand impact, but also minimal impact on the environment we were perfectly placed to help support the goals of Nido’s campaign. Working with Account Director Vicki she suggested a re-useable water bottle with a similar design to a well-known re-useable bottle brand. Working closely with Nido the bottle was produced to their exact requirements. Nido’s bottles were Pantone matched to their brand colours and printed with the company logo.
The Results:
The product was a great addition to the marketing campaign run by Nido. Over 3000 students live in Nido properties and each resident was given a bottle to help reduce the number of plastic bottles used in the buildings and to help cut down on student’s overall use of single-use plastics.
